SLD Committed Another $1.3 Million in 2004

In Wave 32 the SLD sent letters to 10 applicants notifying them the status of their 2004 funding requests. In 2004, the SLD has committed close to $2.3 billion and has approximately $286 million still in review. The SLD has actually disbursed $622 million which is only 27% of the committed 2004 funds to date.

The SLD denied or reduced several applicants funding this wave because they either did not have an approved technology plan or the technology plan didn't cover the full funding year. It is critical to have an approved technology plan that covers the full funding year or your funding will be in jeopardy. The SLD guidance on technology plans can be viewed at http://www.sl.universalservice.org/apply/step2.asp.

The full funding wave can be viewed at E-rate Manager Wave Reports.
