The SLD released wave 28 for FY 2007 committing $40.3 million notifying 331 applicants and 390 service providers about the status of their FY 2007 applications.  The SLD has committed $1.7 billion and has $1.78 billion pending in FY 2007 requests.  There is approximately $351 million in priority two requests that are between the 80% and 82% discount band and there is no indication when the SLD will make the determination whether they can fund those priority two requests.  According to a Funds For Learning analysis, the SLD still has $764 million in potentially fundable priority two applications between the 83% to the 90% discount rate.

The SLD recently issued a FY 2006 funding wave committing nearly $30,000 to one applicant in New Mexico and denied $335,000 to a New York applicant for a FY 2001 request.
