According to an analysis by Funds For Learning, there is over $250 million in committed Internal Connections funding with an installation deadline of September 30, 2008. These commitments date back as far as Funding Year 2003. These commitments can be from earlier funding years due to appeals, SPIN changes, service substitutions, and granted extension requests. If your deadline is September 30th, and you do not believe that your projects will be delivered and installed by the deadline, you must request an extension before the deadline in order for the SLD to consider it.

For Internal Connections, the typical delivery period is from July 1 at the start of the funding year to September 30th of the following calendar year. For Funding Year 2007, applicants that received a Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL) prior to March 1, 2008 (for Internal Connections funding requests), have until September 30, 2008 to complete the installation of the project. Applicants who received FY 2007 FCDL for an Internal Connections funding requests after March 1, 2008 typically have until September 30, 2009 to complete the projects.
