FCC Releases Amendments to Sixth Report and Order

On November 8, 2010, the Federal Communications Commission issued amendments to the Sixth Report and Order including the FY 2011 Eligible Services List (ESL). In the erratum, the FCC amends twelve items throughout the Orders, correcting and offering clarification on items including the placing of dark fiber to the telecommunications section (from miscellaneous) and the removal of references to “residential telephone service” from the ineligible services list. The erratum corrects the ESL glossary to show that web hosting is eligible under Internet access. A complete list of amendments can be found here.

The FCC Sixth Report and Order outlines some substantial changes to the E-rate program.
