Funds For Learning Launches E-rate App for iPhone

EDMOND, OKLA. (Jan. 10, 2010) – Funds For Learning, the nation’s leading E-rate compliance services firm, has released the education industry’s first E-rate application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. E-rate Manager for iPhone is a free mobile version of the award-winning E-rate Manager (ERM) service provided by Funds For Learning.

“We recognized that the industry was devoid of E-rate apps for mobile devices, but if we were going to develop an app, we wanted to develop something that was worthy of the E-rate Manager name,” said Cathy Cruzan, President of Funds For Learning. “We took our time and did it right. ERM for iPhone delivers the functionality and information users have grown to expect from E-rate Manager.”

E-rate Manager for iPhone was created by the same development team that produced and maintains the online E-rate Manager service. The free application follows in the tradition of the E-rate Manager tools, offering easy navigation and instant access to the most up-to-date funding year information.

E-rate Manager for iPhone allows current ERM users to access their funding requests and commitment amounts, the names of their service providers, and their remaining funding balances, from their compatible Apple device.

“Timing is everything with the E-rate process, and we recognized that our customers need to have their funding information at their finger tips at a moment’s notice,” said John Harrington, CEO of Funds For Learning. “The capabilities of the iPhone provide a great opportunity for ERM users to have the same access to their funding requests as they do by accessing eratemanager.com.”

Users can download E-rate Manager for iPhone for free by searching for “E-rate” in the iTunes app store.

The E-rate Manager application requires iOS 3.0 or better, and an Internet connection. While anyone can download the application, users will need to have an active E-rate Manager account in order to access the information.
