FCC Approves USAC Cost Savings Proposals

On February 1, 2013, the Federal Communications Commission’s Office of Managing Director approved USAC’s recommendations to improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of their program integrity procedures.  USAC estimates that implementing their proposals and cost savings measures should save the Universal Service Fund nearly $2 million.  The FCC has directed USAC to implement the proposals no later than March 1, 2013.
