FCC Chairman Genachowski to Step Down

On March 22, 2013, the Federal Communications Commission announced that Julius Genachowski will be stepping down as FCC Chairman in the coming weeks. In a statement, Chairman Genachowski noted: “Over the past four years, we’ve focused the FCC on broadband, wired and wireless, working to drive economic growth and improve the lives of all Americans.” The FCC’s official announcement may be found at http://www.fcc.gov/document/chairman-genachowski-announces-plans-step-down-coming-weeks.

President Barack Obama has issued a statement thanking Chairman Genachowski for his service.
