A Funds For Learning® analysis shows that the pace of FY2014 Form 470 submissions is similar to prior funding years. As of January 24, there have been 23,182 Form 470s posted for FY2014. This compares to 23,847 and 25,421, posted for FY2012 and FY2013, respectively.
The pace of FY2014 forms is nearly identical to that of FY2012, but is lagging slightly behind FY2013.
Noteworthy within the count of Form 470s, is the significant decline in applicants seeking discounts on Priority 2 goods and services. As of January 24, there have been 4,217 Priority 2 Form 470s posted for FY2014. This is significantly lower than the count of 470s as of January 24 in 2012 and 2013.
