On February 20, 2014, the FCC released a Report & Order in which they did not grant waivers to 17 applicants who failed to appeal their adverse funding decisions within the 60 day window. E-rate applicants and service providers that receive a funding denial have 60 days to appeal the decision either to USAC or the FCC. In these cases the FCC stated that the applicants “failed to demonstrate that special circumstances exist to justify a waiver of the deadline.”
