On May 28, 2021, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released their budget estimate to congress. The FCC has stated that their vision is to “develop a regulatory environment to encourage the private sector to build, maintain, and upgrade next-generation networks so that the benefits of advanced communications services are available to all Americans…” The overall FY2022 FCC budget estimate is $388 million which is an increase of 3.7% from FY2021.
